General information about Yiwu City
Yiwu City locate in east of China, middle of ZheJiang province, not far from ShangHai and near by HangZhou. Although Yiwu has a history as long as over 2200 years, it is nameless until 90’s last century. Yiwu was a country in early 80’s last century, the local government encourage market economy inventively then. Yiwu’s economy developed rapidly as China carried out reform and opening up policy, more and more people came to Yiwu to do business and wholesale products, including foreign merchants. Yiwu became a city officially in 1988, and it became the biggest wholesale market and small commodities contribute center of the world since 2004.
